Process for cutting thick branches of golden camellia

2012
The invention relates to a process for cutting thick branches of golden camellia. The process comprises the steps of (1) applying fertilizer to a seed golden camellia; (2) conducting gibberellin treatment on the seed tree, wherein gibberellin is sprayed on leaf surfaces of the seed tree; (3) conducting lateral branch girdling treatment, wherein a lateral branch is selected for girdling, an ABT rooting powder solution is daubed on a girdling opening, and the girdling opening is wrapped in a plastic cloth; (4) conducting cuttage branch shearing and pretreatment, wherein the cutting branch is cut, soaks in the ABT rooting powder solution for 5-15h and then is sterilized; (5) conducting seed bed building and cuttage, wherein peat soil is laid firstly for bottoming, then acid red soil is laid, finally, granular perlite particles are laid, and cuttage is conducted as per the conventional method; and (6) conducting cuttage nursery garden management. The process for cutting thick branches of golden camellia has the advantages that the cuttage branch rooting time can be brought forward, the cutting seedling survival rate can exceed 95%, the transplanting rate can exceed 90%, the operation is simple, the large-scale intensive breeding production of golden camellia seedlings can be facilitated, and the breeding speed of the golden camellia can be accelerated.
