Influence of Billet Location Modes on Material Flow in Forming Process of Steel Synchronizer Ring

The forming process of steel synchronizer ring was simulated by FEM under two billet location modes of top location mode and bottom location mode,the material flow states under different billet location modes were analyzed.The results show that the billet location modes have a great effect on material flow states,which decide whether the forming defects form.The material flow in steel synchronizer ring under top location mode is better than that under bottom location mode,which greatly benefits defects control.The research result can provide a valuable guidance for the defect control of steel synchronizer ring.
