Analysis on hygienic indices for panax notoginseng products in Yunnan Province

Objective:To investigate the hygienic quality of panax notoginseng products during past years in Yunnan Province to provide a sound basis for improving product quality.Methods: Data of panax notoginseng products detecting from 2005 to 2009 in Yunnan Province were collected and analyzed.Detecting method was according to GB/T5009 and related standards.Results: A total of 115 samples were detected.Both pesticide and microorganism indices are qualified.Pb,Hg,and Cd had been detected in some samples,but their contents were under the limit value.The qualified rate of As for panax notoginseng raw materials and extractives were 61.8% and 80.4% respectively.Conclusion: The cultivation of panax notoginseng should be following the GAP standard.Arsenical pesticides should be hardly using to prevent arsenic pollution.The eating of panax notoginseng raw materials should be deceased,and substituted by extractives.
