LATERAL BUCKLING CRITICAL LOAD OF S SHAPE PIN ENDED BEAM UNDER A COUPLE APPLIED AT ONE END OF BEAM

The lateral buckling of S shape pin ended beam under a couple applied at one end is discussed. The critical value formula of lateral buckling is derived by using two methods-theory analysis and energy approximate methods, and the two methods give the same results. The formula can be used in design of mechanical equipment and engineering structure.
