System and method for providing cloud word stock service

The invention discloses a system and a method for providing a cloud word stock service, relates to the technical field of application of internet word stocks, and solves the problem of high consumption of data flow in word stock downloading for terminals in the prior art. The method for providing the cloud word stock service includes: an interface server receives a word lack request from a client and sends the word lack request to a cloud word stock server; the cloud word stock server searches a corresponding word stock in cache word stocks according to the word lack request; the cloud word stock server selects word stock splitting and merging strategies according to the word lack request; the cloud word stock server subjects the searched word stock to word stock splitting or merging operations according to the word lack request and the word stock splitting and merging strategies to form a target small word stock; the cloud word stock server sends the target small word stock to the client through the interface server. The system and the method are applicable to providing of the word stock service to the client through a cloud platform.
