This diploma work deals with the problems of steering of several axles at road carriages. The aim of this work is to analyze usable systems for steering of the rear axle and to propose an electromechanical system steer-by-wire with the focus on system security in case of defection of one of its components. The first part of this work is an introduction of the problems of the steering of several axles, mainly the steering of all wheels at two-axled vehicle (4WS). The second part of the diploma work analyzes the functions and possibilities of systems which are usable for steering of the rear axle or steering of several axles. The third part of the diploma work is focused on the proposal of an electromechanical system steer-by-wire intended for an experimental vehicle 4WS. The concluding part of this work is dedicated to the analysis of possible critical situations, to the reliability of the proposed system and to the possibilities of redundancy for the security in case of critical defect of some of its components.
