: Herpes gestations is described as a polymorphous, pruritic, bulbous disorder resembling dermatitis. It can occur during pregnancy or puerperium. Its etiology is unknown, but it has a tendency to reoccur during subsequent pregnancies, or with the use of contraceptive pills. Women having had the ailment, therefore, should usually not use contraceptive pills.
