Isophthaldihydroxamic acid as analytical reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of cobalt

Abstract The spectrophotometric study of isophthaldihydroxamic acid with Co(II) shows that a complex of stoichiometry 1:1 (Co:R) is formed. A spectrophotometric method is developed for the determination of cobalt in the range 1–3 ppm.
