CARLA - AN EXERIMENTAL PLATFORM FOR LAND BASED TRAFFIC

Currently, vehicles for experimental work in the field of driver or traffic assistance systems with respect to land transport often have to be specifically equipped for the respective test. These modifications in the configuration involve components from the fields of sensors, actuators, and computer systems; the amount of work involved is significant. For the introduction of new concepts on the other hand, it is hard to install the necessary components, i.e. change the existing configuration every time. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a generic platform for these experiments. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
