Application of Aspheric Lens in Optical Pick-up

Aspherics are applied more and more widely in optical design as the use of aspheric lens simplifies the optical system. This paper introduces the aspherics used in the optical pick-up of video-disc player. The evaluation of the objective quality used in optical pick-up, as well as the material is given.
