PERFIL RESPIRATÓRIO DE PACIENTES ACOMETIDOS POR ACIDENTE VASCULAR ENCEFÁLICO RESPIRATORY PROFILE OF PATIENTS AFFECTED BY STROKE

2015
Stroke (CVA) is a neurological disease that most affects the nervous system, being the main cause of physical disability. In addition to tonic changes, stroke can also compromise the muscles of the trunk. Thus, it is believed that the impairment of the trunk muscles can interfere with respiratory dynamics. The objectives of the study were chosen to describe the profile of patients with respiratory stroke, to identify the most frequent respiratory pattern, examine the chest expansion; investigate the respiratory rate, to compare the values of respiratory rate of stroke in individuals with healthy individuals, measuring muscle strength respiratory. Is a descriptive study. Accomplished through the evaluation of patients with clinical diagnosis of stroke, of both genders aged between 40 and 70 years who underwent evaluation and respiratory muscle strength. The study results point out that the incidence between the sexes was higher in males (64%), inspiratory pressure and both genders had decreased respiratory muscle strength (≥ 40cmH2O), the breathing pattern was the most paradoxical incident (55% ), the respiratory rate was
