P086 Understanding Porosity Variations through Simulating Quartz Cementation of Cambrian Sandstones S. Sliaupa* (Institute of Geology and Geography) SUMMARY The deeply buried sandstones commonly show intense quartz cementation that may considerably decrease the reservoir properties. The predictive model of the Middle Cambrian sandstones of west Lithuania was developed via kinetic modelling of the quartz cementation. A rather good fit was obtained in most cases assuming the precipitation limited model. In some intervals the considerable misfit was obtained that clearly correlates with different stylolite spacing. It indicates that the local silica sourcing intensity has to be taken into consideration. The model
