Results of measuring input capacitance in 35-750 kV transformers and reactors

1982
The effect of the neutral grounding mode on input capacitance of 110-120 kV transformers was studied, inasmuch as in the system the neutral for a portion of the transformers was not grounded, with the objective of limiting nonsymmetrical short-circuit currents. Measurements showed that the input capacitance with a grounded neutral, as a rule, is greater than with an insulated neutral.
