Imaging Evaluation of Spiculated Masses

Accurate characterization of mammographic findings is essential in analysis of breast lesions. Standardized terminology is also critical and recent publication of the American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) (1995) should result in more consistent reports and final assessment categories. The BI-RADS lexicon terminology will be used throughout this chapter.
