Benefits of contact lens wear for children and teens.

2007
Study Details First-time contact lens wearers were categorized as children (8 to 12 years of age) or teens (13 to 17 years of age). They responded to questions from the Pediatric Refractive Error Profile (PREP) — a pediatric quality of life survey for children related to wearing contact lenses and glasses. This standardized survey, used in other child-specific vision correction studies,1 was specifically designed to “speak” at a child’s level. The PREP quantifies the vision-related functioning and well-being for children affected only by refractive error.
