Solid state 13C NMR and optical non-linearities study of C60 trimethylenediamine adducts

1999
Abstract The mono-trimethylenediamine adducts were prepared via the reaction between trimethylenediamine and C 60 in toluene. The product was characterized by ESI-MS and NMR spectroscopy. The solid state 13 C NMR showed that two amino groups of the diamine adducted to the C 60 forming a cyclo-derivative via an intermediate in which only one amino group of the diamine was connected to the C 60 . The mono-trimethylenediamine C 60 adducts possess the optical non-linearities with χ (3) =5.39×10 −13 esu.
