Computational Method of Settlement Process of High Loess-filled Embankment Considering Rheological Characteristic

Based on 1D creep test achievement and with aid of Kelvin rheological model,the Kelvin hyperbolic empirical model was established.The model can simultaneously consider the interaction relationship among time,stress and strain.The results of the analysis indicate that the model can reflect the weaken developing creep property of compacted loess.Along with time increaing,the strain increases gradually,but the strain rate reduces gradually.After considering the earth-fill load gradually exerting,the time-gap between two earth-fill load levels and the thickness in the actual project,having made the essential hypothesis,the computational model of settlement process of high loess-filled embankment which combined the layer-wise summation method was proposed.Finally,the model was applied to the actual project.Through the concrete project example,the reliability of the model was confirmed and the serviceability of the model was discussed.
