About the costs of simulating two-flavour QCD in the deep chiral regime
2000
Abstract Based on performance data of the SESAM/T χ L hybrid Monte Carlo simulattions at lattice spacing a = 0.079 fm, we prognosticate the computer time needed for producing full QCD vacuum configurations with N f = 2 Wilson fermions, going deeper towards the chiral limit on correspondingly increasing lattice sizes. In doing so particular attention is paid to autocorrelation effects and scaling of iterative solvers within HMC.
