The video decoding method and system

Provides a video decoding method and system in which a video decoding method for decoding a bit stream into a plurality of frames, comprising: the bit stream is determined based on whether the size of the current picture is equal to the size of the next picture; when the current picture when the size is not equal to the size of the next picture, scaling the corresponding reference next picture frames to produce scaled frame; and the scaled first frame memory to the frame buffer storage unit, wherein at least a portion of said first frame buffer originally stored in the first frame is displayed. By comparing the size of the current picture and the next picture, scaling reference frame and scaled frames stored in a frame buffer, so the RPR frame without using the case of the video decoding buffer is achieved.
