Two new torrubiellin derivatives from the mangrove endophytic fungus Parengyodontium album

2021
Abstract Two new torrubiellin derivatives, parengyomarin A (1) and parengyomarin B (2), together with three known compounds torrubiellin B (3), emodin (4), and emodic acid (5) were isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus Parengyodontium album. Their structures were elucidated through NMR and MS analysis, and by comparison with literature data. Three torubiellin derivatives (1–3) showed significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and MRSA with MIC values of 0.39∼3.12 μM.
