The present invention relates to a solid-state imaging device, a driving method thereof and an electronic apparatus. The solid-state imaging device comprising: a semiconductor substrate including a light receiving surface of the light receiving surface is divided according to a pixel arranged in a matrix shape, and is formed by the photoelectric conversion portion; electrochromic film, in the selected pixel part of the pixels in the electrochromic film is formed to be located on the light incident path corresponding to the photoelectric converting portion, the electrical light transmittance of the electrochromic film according to the electrochromic applied on the semiconductor substrate, the film from a first voltage to a second transmittance of the transmittance; lower electrode formed below the electrochromic film; and an upper electrode formed over the electrochromic film. The present invention can enlarge the dynamic range without causing increase in power consumption, the image becomes unnatural problems simultaneously.
