Investigation of the extraction properties of a mixed morpholine-dimethylformamide solvent

1996
By a static method with the use of a semiautomatic unit for analysis of equilibrium vapour, positive deviations in selectivity and negative deviations in dissolving power have been established for a mixed morpholine-dimethylformamide solvent in relation to a hydrocarbon. The phase equilibria of hexane-benzene-mixed solvent systems have been studied. The distribution coefficients of benzene with different water contents of the mixed solvent in the 11-45°C range have been determined. The phase equilibria in the systems investigated are described with the use of a second-degree polynomial, The optimum solvent composition is proposed for the process of liquid extraction.
