Research progress on hydrocephalus after cranial decompression of severe craniocerebral injury

2019
Although the effect of cranial decompression (CD) on severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI) is good, it is easy to cause postoperative complications such as post-traumatic hydrocephalus (PTH), and it is not clear whether the occurrence of PTH after sTBI is caused by craniocerebral injury or CD. In order to provide theoretical and practical basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of sTBI, the author mainly analyzes PTH from different angles (occurrence mechanism, diagnosis, treatment, prevention) after CD of sTBI patients. Key words: Severe traumatic brain injury; Cranial decompression; Post-traumatic hydrocephalus
