Analysis on Dynamic Responses of Highway Simply Supported Beam Bridge Subjected to Vehicular Load

2012
The bridge and vehicle were taken as two separate subsystems, and the vibration differential equations of vehicle and bridge were respectively derived by d'Alembert theory and finite element method. The differential equations of two subsystems were coupled by the conditions of geometric compatibility and the theory of force equilibrium.Considering the excitation due to road random roughness, the command stream, which was compiled by APDL language for secondary development in ansys, was used to calculate the dynamic responses of vehicle-bridge system and the influences of different kinds of factors such as road roughness and the parameters of vehicle-bridge system were analyzed. The results indicated that the dynamic responses of vehicle-bridge system were sensible to road roughness, vehicle velocity, the stiffness and damping of vehicle suspension system;the influences of vehicle weight, tire damping and tire stiffness occupied the secondary position.
