Method and device for reconstructing media data

The invention discloses a method and device for reconstructing media data. The method comprises the step of de-multiplexing a transport stream of a program to obtain original media data including video data of the program, the step of resetting a PCR in the original media data according to a local clock, the step of slicing the original media data with the reset PCR according to the method of regarding an I frame of the video data as an initial frame of the video data of slices, the step of setting index messages for all slices, and the step of regarding the slices on which the index messages are set as reconstructed data of the program to be stored. The method and device for reconstructing the media data solve the problem that due to the fact that the requirements for streaming media initial data formats of operating systems of different client terminals are different, streaming media cannot be played normally, and the performance of the service of directly playing the streaming media among the client terminals is promoted.
