We read with great interest the study by Upshaw et al. ([1][1]) and the accompanying editorial ([2][2]). Upshaw et al. ([1][1]), using an echocardiography-based definition of diastolic function (DD), report that the majority of patients (71%) with normal or indeterminate diastolic function before
