Research and Implementation of Collaborative Product Development Platform

Collaborative product development platform, as an important part of Beijing Internet-based manufacturing project, provides remote design, distributed manufacturing and resource sharing support for medium-sized and smaller companies. The framework for collaborative product development platform and key issues in it are researched. Encapsulating legacy system with CORBA, Web and Agent, which is implemented in platform as a distributed the resource sharing method, supports users to get CORBA service by Web browser. There are two methods to implement the resource sharing in collaborative product development platform, distributed resource sharing and application services providers. The collaborative product development platform prototype system is realized in Beijing Internet-based manufacturing project.
