Conveyor vehicle and conveyor method

2011
A conveyor vehicle (4) comprises: a left-right pair of freely extendable arms (12, 13); hooks (14, 15) on both ends of the arms (12, 13), which freely open and close; an arm open-close mechanism (16) which changes the spacing between the arms (12, 13); and a controller (26), which controls the arms (12, 13), the arm open-close mechanism (16), and the hooks (14, 15). When loading, the controller (26) projects the left-right pair of arms (12, 13) in a state wherein the leading end hooks (14, 15) are open to a location that is beyond a location of a package (32), along the loading direction as seen from the conveyor vehicle. Thereafter, the controller (26) closes the left-right pair of arms (12, 13), clamping the package (32). After clamping, the controller opens the left-right pair of arms (12, 13), creating a gap between the package (32) and at least one of the left-right pair of arms (12, 13), and retracts the left-right pair of arms (12, 13) in a state wherein the hooks (14, 15) are closed, drawing the package (32) into the conveyor vehicle (4).
