Tissue culture of Cercis canadensis Forest Pansy.

2010
The different stem segments of Cercis canadensis Forest Pansy(Leguminosae) were taken as explants to investigate the effects of different hormone combinations in the basic culture medium to the multiplication and rooting. The results showed that May was the optimum period for explant collection, the suitable medium for multiplication was WPM+6-BA(1.5-2.5mg/L)+NAA(0.1mg/L)+sugar(30g/L),and the highest propagation coefficient could reach to 3.3;the lower stem segments with callus tissue were better than the upper ones without callus tissue for multiplication, the latter needed higher concentration of 6-BA for multiplication;the best hormone combination for inducting rooting was MS+5mg/L IBA+0.5mg/L NAA.
