ABSTRACT Intoduction: Using the questionnaire investigations has been a method in anaesthesia studies. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the quality of anesthesia in patients who underwent regional and general anesthesia. Materials and methods: The questionaire was filled out by the voluntered patients who were received regional and general anaesthesia between 15.08.2012 and 15.1.2012. The anesthesiologist who didn’t make the preoperative evaluation and administer their anesthesia in the operating room filled out the questionaire by reading the questions or writing down the patients’ answers at 24 h postoperatively. Result: Questions related to education of patients showed that 51.3% of them had a primary education. 38.2% of the patients were over 50 years of age. There is a significant difference in the knowledge about anesthesia, recalling the anesthesiologist, form of address with educational status. 22% of patients who underwent regional anesthesia informed they would prefer general anesthesia if they undergo a surgery again. The anxiety levels were found higher in women then men. Conclusion: In our study, it appears that the patient satisfaction is high in our hospital.The patient profile in Tokat and education levels of patients can affect this result.
