Mobile ad hoc networks and energy efficiency using directional antennas: A review

Mobile Adhoc Network has been of a major research area in networking from several years. Due to wireless nature, it is more applicable in disaster recovery, knowing information about battleground as compare to wired medium. With noble characteristics of MANET i.e. self-employed, infrastructure less, decentralized and highly dynamic nature makes MANET a powerful field. As MANET reaches towards matureness deploys more complex and highly mobility networks. To interrogate simultaneously network system chiefly depend on energy. As we know energy source is one of the main factor which cannot be neglected so, handle energy efficiently must be take into consideration. This paper show a quick review about MANET, routing protocol, issues and improving energy efficiency using directional antennas.
