Abstract Microimmunoenzymatic assays have been developped to determine serum secretory Ig A, Ig A 1 and Ig A 2 subclasses and secretory component (SC). Imbalance of these parameters seems to be important to understood the dysregulation of Ig A metabolism in diseases with high polyclonal serum Ig A.
