The Influence of Hydroplasma on the Proliferative and Secretory Activity of Human Mesenchymal Stromal Cells

2021
Here we review the influence of the biologically active supplement “Hydroplasma” on the proliferative potential of cultured human mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSCs). The following parameters were assessed: cytotoxicity of the studied drug, cell population doubling time, cellular migration, cell cooperation (wound healing assay), and secretory activity of the cell culture. We found that in “Water for Life” Hydroplasma (in concentrations recommended by the manufacturer) and in “Absolute Energy” Hydroplasma (in extremely low concentration) there were no statistically significant differences in the proliferative and secretory activities of the cell cultures relative to the control condition. When estimating the total impact of AE Hydroplasma in standard concentrations, hMSCs death and a low content of cytokines was observed.
