The invention discloses a hot-standby control method of a high-power drive device. The hot-standby control method of the high-power drive device comprises the following steps that s210, frequency converters are arranged, the number of the frequency converters is the same as the number of motors which are distributed on both sides of an emission platform, the motors are electrically connected with the frequency converters in a one-to-one correspondence mode, both the motors and the frequency converters are in working condition, and the emission platform operates well; s220, the working condition of each frequency converter is detected; s230, whether the frequency converters break down or not is judged, if yes, s240 is performed, and if not, s220 is performed; s240, power output of the faulty frequency converter is stopped; s250 whether the system driving power is smaller than the smallest driving power or not if another frequency converter corresponding to the faulty frequency converter in mechanical position is stopped is judged, if yes, s270 is performed, and if not, s260 is performed; s260, power output of another frequency converter corresponding to the faulty frequency converter in mechanical position is stopped, and S220 is performed; s270, warming information is sent to an upper system; and s280, the process is finished. The hot-standby control method of the high-power drive device can be used for monitoring the working condition and power output of each alternating current motor and each frequency converter in real time, and ensuring that both sides of the mobile emission platform are kept balanced and the mobile emission platform can normally travel when the output power of the drive motors changes. The invention further includes a control system.
