Analysis and Comparison of Frequency Correlation Models for Transmission Lines

The frequency correlation models commonly used in electromagnetic transient calculation are introduced. Based on the calculation of transmission line parameters, the line parameters of the frequency-dependent model are deduced and the basic principle is analyzed. The frequency correlation model in ATP-EMTP and PSCAD is used to perform electromagnetic transient simulation inverse calculation on the line parameters. The transient characteristics of the relevant models are compared, and general conclusions are drawn for the use of the two transmission line models in the electromagnetic transient calculation.
