ROR2 in the adult mouse testis

Sertoli cells in the adult testis serve a secretory function and have a key structural role in the blood testis barrier (BTB). The BTB prevents meiotic spermatocytes from entering the blood and mounting an immune response. Spermatogonial maturation proceeds from the periphery of the seminiferous tubules towards the lumen, while maintaining constant contact with Sertoli cells. This article is protected by copyright.
