High-speed uncooled infrared detector
1987
Stock AL-107 and AL-115 light-emitting diodes are tested as uncooled detectors of CO/sub 2/-laser radiation. The light-emitting diodes were found to be sensitive to infrared radiation. The sensitivity and speed can be varied from 10/sup -3/ to 10/sup -5/ V/W and from 10/sup -3/ to 10/sup -8/ sec, respectively, depending on the operating conditions.
