Phenotypic transformation poultry developing bovine growth hormone

1990
PURPOSE: To induce poultry which develops bovine growth hormones by preparing the fowl cells obtd. by phenotypic transformation with the vectors including the bovine growth hormone genes built into genomes so as to develop the bovine growth hormones. CONSTITUTION: The poultry is subjected to the phenotypic transformation with the vectors including the bovine growth hormone genes built into the genomes so as to develop the bovine growth hormones. More specifically, the fowl cells are subjected to the phenotypic transformation with the vectors which have titer of 10 5 to 10 9 infection unit/ml and contains the developable bovine growth hormone genes, such as genes gag, pol and env, necessary for infection of the fowl cells. Such transformants are cultured to prepare virus stock. Fertilized fowl eggs of first to fifth days are infected with the transformants under the developed bracts and, thereafter, the growth of the fowl embryos is progressed to grow the matured fowl.
