The synthesizing process of RuO_2-IrO_2-TiO_2 oxygen evolution catalyst

2010
RuO2-IrO2-TiO2 was synthesized via vacuum impregnation-thermal decomposition method with TiN,RuCl2 and H2IrCl6 as raw materials, the effects of calcining temperature and n(Ru+Ir)∶n(Ti)on the products were studied.XRD analysis showed the TiN was oxidized to form rutile-type phase TiO2 by calcining at high temperature,RuO2,IrO2 and TiO2 existed in the form of solid solution.CV,anodic polarization curves and EIS tests showed the optimum calcining temperature of RuO2-IrO2-TiO2 was 400 ℃,the activity of the catalyst increased with the increasing of n(Ru+Ir)∶n(Ti).The current density of RuO2-IrO2-TiO2 based on the same potential was higher than IrO2,it could be used as catalyst of solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)water electrolysis.
