New technology for pipe rolling on mini mills

A miniature pipe rolling system has been developed on the basis of two- and three-roller helical mills. This system permits the production of manufacturing pipe with high geometric precision: the diametric tolerance is ±5%. The new production technology has been adopted at OAO VMZ and at Sechang Steel plants (South Korea).
