Macrophage-lymphocyte rosettes are a prominent feature of rheumatoid synovial fluid cell cultures. They suggest the presence of antigen in or on synovial fluid leukocytes. The majority of lymphocytes found in macrophage-lymphocyte rosettes have been identified as T cells.
