Techniques for applying coatings in nuclear power plants

1984
Coatings work quality has progressed enormously over the years to meet the high U.S. standards of quality assurance and control. This article discusses techniques for application of coatings for nuclear power plants and cites certain documents containing examples of coatings application problems. Coating failures are largely a matter of product quality, surface preparation and application techniques. More and better information is needed to properly identify a defect and establish consistent quality acceptance requirements.
