Basic Characteristics of Compulsory Education Development in the World Since 1970s

Since 1970s,an ideal international policy environment has been formed as a result of joint efforts of governments from different countries and international organizations,and compulsory education has also made a quick development in many countries.Pre -school education is brought into compulsory education system in developed countries,bringing about the intergration of pre-school education and school education.Moral education is paid much attention to by the governments in order to strengthen students'consciousness of responsibility.Besides,many governments make efforts to harmonize the relationship between quantity and quality of compulsory education and strengthen the qualitative control of education.
