IR Sensor for Gas Turbine Inlet Temperature (TIT) Measurement: Experimental Results of a Laboratory Test

We present the preliminary results of laboratory tests carried out for the characterization of an innovative temperature sensor based on the detection of the infrared radiation emitted in a selected wavelength band by the CO2 molecules present in a high temperature high pressure gas. The sensor has been conceived for the absolute temperature measurement of the combustion gases at the exit of a gas turbine combustor.
