Method and apparatus for displaying a vehicle-specific parameter in a vehicle

The invention relates to a method for displaying a vehicle-specific parameter in a vehicle (1), wherein in an area (35.1) on a display surface (7) a plurality of graphic elements (34) spaced from each other are displayed. A value of the parameter is detected. Further, the graphical elements (34) in dependence on the value of the parameter are moved in one direction on the display surface (7), that a graphical element (34) from the area (35.1) disappears when there is a first restriction (36) has reached the area (35.1), and wherein one of the first boundary (36) opposite second boundary (38) of the portion (35.1) displays a new graphical element (34). The invention further relates to a device (3) for displaying a vehicle-specific parameter in a vehicle (1).
