Internal stresses in the cranial bone tissue

The presence of a plane internal stress field in the bone tissues of the cranium has been established. Values have been obtained for the Poisson's ratio and modulus of elasticity of the cranial bone. The outer surface of the cranium is in a state of biaxial tension, the inner surface in a state of biaxial compression.
