Unterschiede und Beeinflussung der Erholungskapazität von Chlorellazellen in Verschiedenen Stadien des Zellzyklus

For our studies we used synchronously cultivated Chlorella pyrenoidosa . Radiation resistance was investigated after different radiation doses were applied and at different stages of the cell cycle. We used berberine sulphate for vital staining of living and dead cells. Cells immediately before DNA synthesis started, proved to be most sensitive. Cells in the stage of sporulation showed the highest radiation resistance. We believe that different repair capacity of cells within the cell cycle is responsible for the difference in the radiation resistance. Apart from the repair capacity DNA content and changes in permeability are additional factors. The same method was used for darkrecovery studies made under different temperatures. This treatment had a protective effect. The higher survival rate was achieved by reducing incorrect information during the first darkrecovery period.
