Fast neutron-irradiation of molybdenum studied by diffuse X-Ray scattering
1984
Abstract We measured diffuse X-ray scattering close to Bragg reflections in molybdenum single crystals after irradiation with fast neutrons at 4.6 K. Within the cascades small clusters of 2–3 interstitials are formed. The symmetry of the displacement field of these small clusters is the same as for a single interstitial. During annealing the small clusters grow above 35 K, thereby the symmetry of the displacement field does not change.
