Children's Rights and Health Care

2007
SUMMARY. Health and health care are defined as rights in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. However, although the National Health Service offers universal coverage, it is hugely expensive with growing costs and growing demands made upon it. Rationing is inevitable and priorities must be set. This paper discusses the part that children's rights can play in influencing equitable provision and the quality of care.
