The invention relates to a tool cutting edge three-dimensional model building method. Firstly, the surface of a tested tool is washed and preprocessed, then the section of the tested tool is divided and measured, the value, in the z coordinate direction in a preset three-dimensional coordinate system, of each point in each section profile is obtained, then interpolating points are selected, three-dimensional coordinates of the interpolating points are obtained, then data of a plurality of target point three-dimensional coordinates used for drawing a three-dimensional model of a cutting edge of the tested tool are obtained in the iteration mode, and finally the three-dimensional model of the cutting edge of the tested tool is drawn out. For the cutting edge of the tool, the curve of the cutting edge of the tool is built according to the method based on the fractal interpolation, the building speed and accuracy of the three-dimensional structure of the cutting edge of the tool are effectively improved, an accurate tool model is provided for research on the cutting edge effect in the thin cutting machining, and the simulation precision is improved.
